Our history

Studio Gallo was set up in 1982 and its main goal is the Design, Works coordination and Advice in the electrotechnical sector.

Since the very beginning Gallo has preferred the public sector: ranging from public lighting to electrical installations in hospitals and public buildings, schools or bearing particular historic and artistic interest, integrating since the very beginning the design services with the periodic review set by law in all of these structures and the control in compliance with the Safety Standards.

The scope of activities was subsequently extended to the advanced and industrial tertiary sector.

These last two sectors have for a decade now kept the office busy in the activity of following companies spread over the national territory which are undergoing transformation and evolution, of which the full design of the electrical systems for all the newly opening sales points is cared for, in addition to the renovation of existing units.

In the industrial area, enlargement and refurbishing interventions are implemented and include BT networks in addition to the distribution of MT networks and in some cases AT substations.

The office has recently developed interesting experiences abroad, where the design and the start up of a new company established especially for the creation of a large plant in the heavy industry field were implemented.

In the context of charity initiatives, undertaken from time to time by the office, electrical systems were designed for a village of holiday homes-type built in the Cape Verde Islands and the updating of a system in a hospital, to the total benefit of the populations of the Fogo and of Brava islands, made out of the following new structures:

  • wireless data distribution network
  • analysis laboratory
  • reception
  • electrical cabinet for Mt/BT transformation
  • premises for power generator and laundry
  • general electricity distribution network.

Alternative energy sources

Alternative energy sources Regarding the production of alternative energy sources, projects were made on the island of Fogo, in the Cape Verde archipelago, for the installation of an 800 kW wind power facility and a 10 kW photovoltaic installation.

With the introduction of the work-related laws the officeholder has been called to undertake training and updating courses specific for the electricity sector: in particular the courses referred to Law Decree no. 494 of 14 August 1996 “Implementation of directive 92/57/EEC on the minimum safety and health prescriptions to be implemented in temporary or mobile worksites”, aimed at professionals registered at the various Boards or relating to Law Decree no. 626 - 19 September 1994 “Implementation of EEC Directives concerning the improvement of safety and health of workers at work”, intended to craftsmen, tradesmen and entrepreneurs. The officeholder was also the spokesman with various subjects of electrical nature, on behalf of I.R.P.A.I.E.S.; these conferences were held for installers and entrepreneurs in the electricity sector.

In addition to the advice and design normally carried out, the customers can also benefit of a post-design service that includes the periodic inspections, and the electric measures that should be carried out on the systems to ensure a correct maintenance over time.

In order to face the increasingly diversified commitments, while remaining within the electrical field, in 1997 TECNOMISURE was set up, a company that integrates the office activities for the achievement of all the set objectives. Tecnomisure is aimed in particular to industries and commercial activities in the fields of design, management and checks of electrical systems, particularly to the post-project assistance.

Logo TecnomisureTecnomisure is also dealing with the problems relating to the heat in electrical systems and is developing energy consumption analyses for the determination of the contract supply more suitable to the user.

Together with Tecnomisure, Studio Gallo has also launched a systems control and management service, at the customers’ premises.
